Overview
Rare Earth and Precious Metals is the online jewelry shop of George Sharos, a bench jeweler, silversmith, gem cutter and GIA-certified diamond grader with more than forty years in the trade. He began mining turquoise as a teenager at his family's Carico Lake mine in Nevada and ran the Olde World Jewelers store for four decades before launching this shop. It sells one-of-a-kind handmade sterling silver and gold pendants, rings, bracelets and earrings set with turquoise and exotic stones, plus cabochons and slabs for other artisans, and takes custom-jewelry and repair requests.

Built on Shopify's Dawn theme and customised where the shop needed more: a full-bleed video hero, collections that can be browsed by piece or by stone, a custom events calendar for shows and Facebook Live sales, a custom-jewelry inquiry form, and Judge.me reviews on every product. Free shipping and free resizing live in the FAQ, so the small print never blocks a purchase.
